George King Handicap Cup

The competition is being run on a group basis this season. Group winners will progress to the KO phase and group runners up will progress to the St Peters Handicap Doubles.

All players not assigned to a specific team have been placed into the lowest registered team. Any player can ‘play up’ but please note players can only play for one team in this competition.  When a team can only field 2 players it is recommended they play in the number 1 & 3 slots, this way all 3 of their opponents get to play 2 games each on the night. Updated player lists will be provided after each round of matches and published on the website.

Players can play up into higher ranked teams but it should be clearly noted that players can only play for one team in this competition.  Updated player lists will be provided after each round of matches and published on the website.

Advice for Both Competitions

The winning team is responsible for returning the score sheet, correctly completed, to the appropriate match secretary.

Handicap - John Andrews
KO Cups - John Colvin

A photo of the scoresheet or a scanned copy by email is acceptable. Prompt submission of the scoresheet will help the smooth running of the competitions and means results and tables can be kept up to date before the start of the next sequence of matches. All results and tables will be published on the League website.

Please remember that any team using an unregistered player will forfeit any games won by that player and the match result will be adjusted accordingly.

The scoring system to determine the positions within a group will be as follows:-

2 points for the wining team, 1 point for the losing team, and no points for a team that concedes a match, (their opponents will receive 2 points).

Please ensures your teams are familiar with the rules used to manage these competitions.
