Following a disastrous first weekend when Barrie Gilbert missed the matches against Lancashire and Hampshire unable to get back from Guernsey due to fog Sussex only had one point following a 5-5 draw against Essex.This season for the first time three teams were due to be relegated.

The Crawley and Horsham Team of Paul Carter and Ryzsard Pelc were the winners of the first local round of the Wilmott Cup hosted at K2 by the Crawley and Horsham League.
Jacob Evans & John Strang and Fraser Kent & Owen Brown played in the Carter Cup with Frazer and Owen ending as winners.

The Tanbridge House School team came home victorious in the Under 16 Schools Finals last weekend, Jacob Evans, Charlie Graham-Adams, Zach Hodges, Oli Michell, Harry Yip all from the Crawley & Horsham league were well coached on the day by Will Michell.
Alice Hazell and Kate Cheer representing The College of Richard Collyer were Runners Up in the Under 19 Girls event.

The Wilmott and Carter Cup Zonal Round is being hosted by the Crawley & Horsham League this Sunday 24th March at K2 Sports Centre.
The matches start at 10pm, Crawley will be fielding One Senior team in the Wilmott Cup and Two Junior in the Carter Cup.

It is with much sadness that I have to announce the passing of John Richardson. As some of you will know, John was a stalwart of the lower divisions of the Crawley League through the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, he finally and proudly made it to the top division thanks to his prowess with the much hated long pimples!
