Crawley and Horshams Mark Collins Takes the Brighton Closed Crown

Mark Collins from Foresters TTC playing under the Hollingbury TTC banner had an outstanding day at the Brighton Closed, having been a doubtful starter due to recent illness, he came away with his first Brighton Senior Individual Title.

Mark produced superb performances all day, getting past Rory Scott in the quarter final 11-9 in the 5th, then taking out the highly regarded Peter Bartram 3-0 in the semi.

He was now set up to face Lewis Mayhew another Foresters TTC player in the final, Mark just held out taking the title 3 sets to 1.

Mark also got to the Men's Doubles Final with his partner Daniel Pound, they beat Harry Mcarney  & Tim Holtam from Brighton City TTC 13-11 in the 5th in a close semi.

The pair however did not quite have enough against Lewis Mayhew and Peter Bartram going down 3-1 to the more experienced pair.
