Stonewall Carter scoops impressive treble

Our intrepid reporter Graham Carter scored a fine treble with wins over a strong Community B line up of Graham Green,John Callcut and Paul Newton.He defeated John and Paul in five and Graham in four.Graham beat In form Steve Pound and just lost out deuce in the fifth v Michael Bridger,69 year old JC was playing his 9th match in 10 days and was just squeezed out by Steve deuce in the fifth and lost close to Graham and Michael.Paul Newton is fast becoming the Mr Reliable in this team and added another two wins to his tally.6-3 to Blades D.

Foresters A have resembled Dads Army this season with a huge variety of ailments affecting ODSs team selection,tonight they wheeled out Adam Todd,Wes Bush Harris and a fit looking Richard Carden.Although Phil Richardson was two games up v Richard he lost in five.At 0-7 down he said he had had enough and went home telling all his mates that we lost 0-9,however Shaun Parsley beat Wes and BG had only his second ever win over Adam Todd to collect two unlikely points.Wes was still good enough to win two on one leg ably backed up by Richard 3 and Adam 2.PC did not fancy this one.7-2 to Foresters A.

Adam Daley limbered up for his heroics at the weekend with two fine wins for stragglers Foresters E against the B side beating Prakash and Mike Robinson and only losing out deuce in the decider to Superstar County first team player Lewis Mayhew,Gerry Pugh beat Prakash and Bonzo caught the early bus home after losing all three.6-3 to Foresters B.

Foresters C had a 6 3 Win over their D team with Musa,Tim Surrey and Phil Smith all winning two each,Kate Cheer beat Musa and Phil and James beat Tim Surrey.

Bottom club Crawley Sports A picked up four useful points against Blades C with Graham Beaney and Sally Henke cotributing two wins each over Richard Hazell and Old Colin Jones.Richard Pelc prepared for a tough BL weekend in fine style winning all three.5-4 to Blades C.

10 years old Oliver Maric Murray performed really well against Horsham A beating Steve Hoad in five and only going down in five against Keigo Burnham and Digger Barnes.Keigo did well on debut beating seasoned veteran Steve Barby deuce in the fifth and Oliver in five.If he turns out regularly for Horsham they will quickly move up the table.Josh won all three to see Blades A home 6-3

Despite losing a number of games this season Rory Scott at last won a maximum ably backed up by fine performances from Owen Brown and Charlie Graham Adams to record a stunning 9-0 win over A strong Blades B line up of Rose Rainton,Teresa Bennett and Top Catt.This result puts them in touching distance of Blades and look set to overtake them in the coming weeks.
