Vincent on fire as he produces the performance of the season

Chris Vincent was outstanding in the match against third placed Foresters B who fielded a very strong line up of Tony Steel,Jan Collado and Mike Robinson,he defeated Tony and Jan three straight and Mike in four against players much higher than him in the averages.Steve Hoad weighed in with a fine win over Jan.However two wins from Tony and Mike and one from Jan saw Foresters home 5-4 against Horsham A.

We have been waiting all season for the real Bonzo to arrive  and after last weeks rare maximum he repeated the feat against The Beverley sisters beating Kate Cheer,Alice Hazell and Rebecca George to set up a team victory.Unfortunately he was not supported by his colleagues as Adam Daley who turns to jelly when he plays the ladies bemoaned his bad luck losing the first end 1-11 and the ten further nets she got in the next two games.Gerry Pugh beat Alice and lost a tight one to Rebecca 11-13 in the decider.5-4 to the Ds against the Es.

Top dogs Blades A handed out a thrashing to Horham Spinners A with George Hazell beating Rory Scott 11-6 11-3 11-3 also defeating Adam Laws and Marc Burman in close encounters.Martin Gunn beat his old mate 11-0 in the fourth and sufferd only his second defeat of the season to Marc for Spinners only point.James Smith won his three for Blades.

A tight match between Crawley Community B and Blades B saw Community sneak home 5-4 with Graham Faulkner and Paul Newton winning two each over Richard Hazell and Tony Catt added to John Callcuts win over Richard,Evergreen Steve Barby notched up another maximum.

Crawley Community A completed a routine 9-0 win over luckless Copthorne A to join Foresters B on 122 points.Carter,Gilbert and Parsley beat Bristowe,Brooks and Pullinger.

Surprisingly John Robinson turned out against top side Foresters A and despite his recent triumphs at Derby he found the going tough with Dan Pound producing a fine performance to win deuce in the fifth,he did manage Sports only point with a win over Lewis Mayhew.Dan completed two further five set wins over Graham Beaney and Sally Henke and Lewis won two.Craig Bryant limbered up for the National championships with an extended practice session.

Strangely in the Foresters C v Blades C match Musa F lost all three to Graham Carter,Michael Bridger and Richard Pelc,Phil Nicholls restored order with excellent victories over Richard and Michael only going down in five to Graham.JC struggled only winning one versus GC.
