Three Junior National Doubles Titles For Crawley and Horsham

When Josh Bennett, Kate Cheer and James Smith surprisingly went out in the Quarter Finals of their Junior Singles events they swiftly managed to pull themselves together and nabbed all the Doubles Trophies between them.

Josh took the Junior Boys playing alongside Matt Leete, the pair claiming gold with a 3-1, 11-9, 5-11, 11-7, 11-7 victory over  James Smith  who played with Cadet Champion Ethan Walsh.

Kate joined England Team Mate Denise Payet who had earlier taken the Junior Singles.

Seeded 1 in the Junior Girls Doubles event Kate and Denise took the trophy with a fine, 11-9, 11-9, 5-11, 11-9  victory over Mollie Patterson & Gauri Duhan.

James Smith made sure all the National Titles ended up in Crawley & Horsham when he also partnered Denise to victory.

James  & Denise had to come through from the Third seed spot to take the title, overcoming Second seeds Charlotte Bardsley, ( who had won all three Cadet Golds on day one ) and Matt Leete.

Smith & Payet had to fight for their place in the final though, needing five sets against the Top Seeded pair, Crawley's Josh Bennett & Kate Cheer, prevailing 3-2, 11-8, 13-11, 9-11, 8-11, 9-11 in the semi-finals.
