Top Sussex Veterans make winning debuts in the Premier

Sussex number one Vet and England player Rose Rainton made a successful start winning all three including a thumping of Bonzo and two wafer thin victories over Tom Pomej and Phil Nicholls.Two from Top Catt and one from old timer Colin Jones gave Blades B a 6-3 win over Foresters E. 

Barty must have thought this league was a doddle after beating Steve Pound and taking the first game 11-1 versus a certain G. Carter,however it then became a dogfight with our intrepid reporter squeezing out an 11-9 in the fifth win.Foresters C 7 Blades D 2.

Horsham Spinners seem determined to secure runners up spot with a fine victory over Foresters A .Fielding their strongest side for two weeks running Adam Laws was again Man of the Match winning all three over Adam Todd,Wes BH and Dan Pound ably supported by Rory Scott and Mark Burman with two each. 

With Blades A looking set to win the league by Christmas the foot of the table will provide much more interest with one good side being relegated come April.Two such teams are Horsham A and Community B who played out a highly entertaining match.Graham Barnes continues to get great value for money tonight beating Graham Faulkner deuce in the fifth and going down 9-11 in the fifth to an unusually quiet Graham Green.The two Grahams both beat Chris Vincent while in the final match GF was edged out 11-9 in the fifth by Steve Hoad.5-4 to Community.

The Pelc brothers are enjoying a fine start to the season both winning maximums against a strong Foresters line up of of Alice Hazell,Jan Collado and James Wheatley. 

From playing Andy Meads one day,the top juniors in Europe the next Josh Bennett was brought right back to earth dropping and end to Slapper Richardson,he recovered to win in four and gave Paul Carter a sniff of victory before slamming the door shut in five.PC did well to beat Jamie Nordin for Communitys only point.

Jack "Lightning" Boult was MOM winning all three versus Crawley Sports including recovering from two games down against our hero.Sports will have to play JR regularly if they are to avoid the drop and not allow him to miss the Big Boys.In the battle of the Barley Water boys the considerably older one prevailed in five.7-2 to Foresters.
