Outstanding Win Keeps Horsham A In Contention

A 9-0 win against Crawley Community B kept Horsham A in contention in the Premier Division with both Foresters A & C winning 8-1.

Maximums this week for Jacob Evans, Alex Cumbers and Keigo Burnham for Horsham A against Crawley Community B who fielded John Robinson, Paul Newton and Tim Waller keeps it tight at the top. Star man for Horsham was Jacob who although playing up from Division 1 beat  John Robinson 11-7, 12-10, 11-7 first up to set the pattern for the rest of the match.

Three each for Wes Bush-Harris and Pedro Santos, plus two from Adam Todd made sure Foresters A did not lose too much ground though as they beat Crawley Community A's Phil Richardson, Barrie Gilbert and Richard Tanner who beat Adam in five 13-11, 12-10, 8-11, 7-11, 4-11 for a point.

Maximums for Phil Smith and Peter Bartram and two for Gary Bonner in the all Foresters match C v B, Adam Daley got the under strength B's a point against Gary.

At the other end of the table it was a tight contest between Blades C and Foresters E, braces for Steve Pound and Frazer Kent for Blades and Mike Robinson and Phil Nichols for the Hutsmen tied it at 4 all, A single for Tim Surrey against the unlucky on the night John Strang gave Foresters the win.

Horsham Spinners A fielded a strong team vs last season’s champions Blades A who are now without Josh Bennett and George Hazell.

Adam Laws and Marc Burman were both undefeated for Spinners. Adam beat Martin Gunn 3-0 and Damien Gray 3-1, but struggled a bit vs Michael Bridger, before winning in 5.

Marc won all of his in 4, Paul Beck, " The Octopus " suffered a five-set loss to Michael, he also lost in 4 close games to Martin, and 3 straight to Damien.
