Three Outstanding Maximums End The Premier First Half

Kiego Burnham notched an impressive hat trick for third placed Horsham A against League leaders Foresters A. He took out Wes Bush- Harris and Adam Todd three straight but had a tougher fight against the returning Richard Carden before prevailing  9-11, 11-6, 9-11, 11-13.

Adam could not cope with the barrage of winners from Alex Cumbers but Richard Carden had no problem when with the match tied at 4-4 he demolished Alex 11-8,11-5,11-4.  Wes also beat Alex so with Chris Vincent not on song Foresters took the match and head the Table going into the second half.

Owen Brown's Xmas treat came early when he overcame Rory Scott in an exciting five end tussle 4-11, 16-14, 11-5, 11-13, 8-11. Three from Blades A teammate  Martin Gunn and a brace from Steve Barby over Will Michell and Graham Beaney  emphasised the result, with Rory getting Spinners sole point by beating Steve.

With probably the best league result of his career Dan Pound shocked the Spinners A squad, Adam Laws, Marc Burman and Tim Goodship, defeating all three in the fifth. Mark Collins took Burman close and notched up a win over Tim. Prakash Kanji also beat Tim to ensure the win for Foresters D

Foresters C have fielded the same three in every match so far, Phil Smith, Peter Bartram and Gary Bonner gel well as a unit but it was Peter who took the plaudits this week with a treble over Communities, Paul Carter, Phil Richardson and Barrie Gilbert. Two for Smith and Gary beating Barrie gave the C's their twelfth win to go clear in second place.
