Crewe Central Cruise to the Top of Division Three In National Cadet league

Crewe Central proved too strong for third division opponents in the national cadet league, held at Halton Table Tennis club, on November 4, 2018 by winning all their five matches in what was their maiden appearance.

The team was happy to participate in the first of 4 installments set out for the 2018/2019 season, where they will battle out for honors 
and promotion to a higher division. The next set of matches will be taking place on December 2, 2018, January 13, 2019 and March 24, 2019.

Non playing captain Jan Johns led the squad and the team included  Lucas Clarke, Oliver Ingram, Harry Cartwright and Tim Cheung.

At the end of play Crewe finished top on 26pts, followed by Halton TTC 'D'- 21pts, Ramsbottom 'B'-19pts, Stockport TT A 14pts, Halton TTC'E'-8pts, StockportTT B-2pts. Tim cheung playing exceptionally well and finishing with 100% on his averages.

"I am so very proud of the boys, they have been such good ambassadors of Crewe Central and they have handled themselves well in and outside of competition", said Jan Johns afterwards.

Crewe Central continues to welcome all age groups to their club nights on Monday at Elim church in Nantwich, 6pm-7:30pm for juniors and cadets, 7.30pm to 9pm adults. The Crewe league holds an open session at Springfield school on Wednesday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
