Where is the Club?
The Club's venue is Donnington Hall, Barretts Road, Dunton Green, Kent, TN13 2UN. There is ample car parking at the rear of the hall. Please do not park in Barretts Road itself as this is a private road.
The aim of the Club is to provide facilities for Members to participate in competitive table tennis at local league level and beyond.
The Club meets on Monday evenings throughout the year for supervised practice or games from 7 pm to 9 pm. This can be extended until 10.30 pm provided sufficient interest from adults is shown. The Club is fortunate in having two UKCC (United Kingdom Coaching Cerificate) qualified coaches who provide their services voluntarily. There are five tables available and refreshments are provided at about 8.30 pm.
Each Member is allocated a computer rating which goes up or down depending on the result of any challenge matches played on Club Nights. Ratings are published on the Club's website.
Wednesday evening is the Club's home night for matches in the Bromley League.
The Club also enters teams in the League Competition organised by the Sevenoaks League, which operates on Sunday afternoons at Donnington Hall.
Those juniors not quite ready to play in the League Competition are encouraged to play in the Sevenoaks League's Junior Development Divisions running on Saturday afternoons, also at Donnington Hall.
Juniors (under 18) are encouraged to compete as individuals in ranking tournaments, etc. This season (2018-9) the Club has entered two teams in the National Cadet League running at Morpeth School in London and two in the National Junior League running at the University of Sussex in Brighton.
Club Membership is by invitation only and is subject to the completion of six satisfactory attendances on Club Nights. The minimum age limit is 11. The Club has over 50 Members and currently there is a waiting list.
