Table Top Clash

Table Top Thriller.

 

Weds 19/11/2014 Draycott Table Tennis Centre. This was the date and venue of one of the top matches of the season in the Derby Premier League so far this season.

Draycott & Long Eaton 3rd represented by Mo Shabir, Naphat Boonyaprapa and Andy Portlock were up against Sawley 1st. with experiencd players - Malcolm Truman, Dave Fox and Craig Feargreave

As yet both teams were unbeaten. A tight battle ensued with the match swinging one way then the other. Mo lost his unbeaten record this season in a close match with Craig Feargreave. and at a match score of 5-4 to Draycott the final match saw 12-year-old Naphat against Craig.

In tricky conditions caused by increasing condensation, Craig took a close first game, but Naphat hit back winning the next three playing some superb tactical table tennis.

This gave his Draycott team an excellent 6-4 win to keep them at the top of the table.
