Please note there is only the Satellite club session at Fram on Monday and the club session on Wednesday night at Fyndoune. The Sports Hall session on Friday is cancelled temporarily until numbers increase.

Aces V Thompson A – no report yet
Bombers v Chargers - The club derby between the Bombers and the Chargers saw the power and experience of the Bombers with Dan Nicholson Nigel Coe and Dan Hutchinson proving too much for the Chargers team of Barry Dingwall John Reid and Peter Whitfield. Dan Nicholson attacked from the start to quickly make short work of the handicap and although John Reid put up a good show in the second game the game was over in two ends. Barry Dingwall fared slightly better in the second game against the very promising junior Dan Hutchinson, but again succumbed over two ends. The third game saw a change in fortune with Nigel Coe playing his very measured precise game against the defensive play of Peter Whitfield, who exploited his generous handicap to take the match in two ends. The match proceeded in similar fashion with both Barry and John struggling to match the attacking play of the two Dan’s and the controlled play of Nigel. The player of the night was Peter Whitfield who won all three games over two ends, but it is the Bombers who advance to the next round winning 6-3
Desperadoes v St Johns B. After the easy win that St Johns B had against Desperadoes in the previous weeks league game they came into the game confident of success, fielding the two youngsters Robert Renton and Luke Steele and substituting Chris Wold for Michael Wilson. However this was a completely different Desperadoes team and with the talented Erin Harrison, the quickly improving Sam Duffin and the under-rated Haydn Williamson, the home team were a different proposition. Erin started against Chris Wold and had to give him a start and lost the first end easily but came back to win the next two. Normally Robert Renton would have dispatched his first opponent easily but young Haydn proved a good match and it took Robert all three ends to eventually beat his younger opponent. Sam Duffin lost his first end against Luke Steele, but attacked constantly to take the next two. The next three games all went the Desperadoes way with the game between Robert and Sam being particularly acrimonious and with Sam winning easily. Robert was so disappointed he tried to put his bat into its case from a distance of two yards and like his drives in his game he missed which made him even more disconsolate. Sam was player of the match, winning all his three games, Erin won two and Haydn also chipped in with 2 leaving Robert the only winner on the St John’s side with 2 wins, and giving the Desperadoes the victory 7-2 to move into the second round.
The Comets are flying so high in the Northumbria fourth division that their opposition in the handicap cup have conceded so Comets march on to their next round.
There are no scheduled games this week, but Bombers have a rearranged game on Tuesday

Eight players have entered the handicap cup singles competition, Paul Henderson, John Reid, Terry Charlton, Ian McAllister, Peter Whitfield, Haydn Williamson, Sam Duffin and Max Duffin, The draw will be made over Christmas and games started in the New Year.
