Bombers v Thompson B
Yet another competitive match for Bombers against the very experienced Thompson B side of Maurice Cheek, Mark O’ Connor and Lynn Herrington. The result did not reflect the closeness of the games which went on well past 10.00 with 6 being 4 or 5 enders. Dan Hutchinson with his attacking style played well to beat ‘Stonewall’ Maurice. And Ian McPherson had a great game with Maurice only going down in the final end 11-13 but did manage to beat Lynn in another 5 ender, but Mark was MVP on the night winning all his games. Only Nigel Coe for Bombers didn’t win but most of his games went to 2 points, but Thompson came away with 8 points in an 8-2 victory.
East Boldon Amigos v Comets
