Desperadoes v Eagles

A club derby played in a fantastic spirit which gave Kevin Richardson the MVP by winning all his games and With Paul Salkeld winning one Desperadoes gained 4 points but with Jack Pugh  and Peter Whitfield picking up 2 and debutant Ross Clennell wining 1 and Jack and Peter taking the doubles the Eagles came away with a good 6 points.

Sunderland League Closed Championships
A great day for the club at Sunderland with Max Duffin taking both the Cadet and Junior trophies in a well organised event. Max had a terrific event and in the Open event took a notable scalp in the form of Jimmy Scope before being beaten by Josh Weatherby, but in the cadet and junior event he played superb table tennis and beat his good friend Peter Smallcombe in both finals. Another club representative Ross Clennel in his first competition played really well and won plenty of plaudits for his play and won a few ends and also took a match against Jack Cairns to get through to the second round of the Juniors before being beaten by Thaaquib Saleem

More success for the youngsters from Sacriston Table Tennis Club with Junior Umpire awards being presented to Ross Clennel, Toni Wong and Guy Wong by Club Chair Ian McPherson
