Centurians v Tornadoes

Tornadoes travelled to the experienced and well thought of Centurians team, and gave them a strong game,  and came away with 2 excellent points against this well fancied team. Terry Charlton and Alan Kent proved too strong for all the Tornadoes players, but they were made to work hard against Kye in his games. Lanchester’s policy of playing youngsters gave Adam Bell his opportunity but Euan and Kye were too strong for him giving Durham their two points. The game of the night was the doubles where 4 of the games were 11-9 before Tornadoes capitulated in the last one.
