Magic v St Gabriels

Its always a pleasure to welcome St Gabriels to Durham as they are such an accommodating and friendly team. They have a reputation of finding returners and introducing them into the league and some of them progress into higher divisions. Led by Viv who is always smiling and welcoming she was joined by Michael Oliver and another stalwart of the team Derek Buller.

The Magic team had two youngsters who have been playing for them for the past 5 or 6 years in Luke Dumighan and Ross Clennell, who are now turning out solid performances week after week, and they were joined by a newcomer to the league but not Table tennis in another returner Vince Sanderson. The youngsters and Vince were too powerful and even though Michael took 2 of them to 5 ends he couldn’t find the final points needed to convert into a victory which gave Magic a 10-0 win
