Fire v Magic
What a pleasure it is to play at Brandon a great welcome is always given and the games played in such a sporting manner.
John Parkin is always smiling, Nigel Cardale is really competitive, and Paul Dunn plays the game in the right spirit and is always acknowledging other players good shots and is a real active participant in his games and his team members’ games.
Magic however were too strong, and they ran out winners.

Magic v Backspin C
Magic had to draft in relative newcomer Vince Sanderson to join Luke Dumighan and Peter Whitfield as one of their regulars Ross Clennell was diagnosed with Covid. Backpsin C had regulars Graham Burton, Ken Greatbatch and Robert Cook.
The result was never going to go Backspins way, as the tone was set in the first game with Luke managing more than his share of nets and edges to edge out Ken.
The best game of the night was the doubles which went to 3-2 but Magic won overall 10-0

Tornadoes v Magic
The game was played in a good manner with some tough matches with 5 going to 4 ends. All the players of Tornadoes are not afraid to attack at every opportunity and this will stand them well as they develop more skills and start to analyse their opponent’s strengths and weaknesses. Both Euan and Guy for Tornadoes are taking every opportunity to get onto strong forehands. Kye is one of the unluckiest players in the league and has so many games that are taken to the last two points.

East Boldon A (5 - 5) Durham City Aces
A good well played match with the games ending 5-5. Only 1 game went to 3 ends with the remainding games either taking 4 or 5 games demonstrating how close the game was. Another fine performance...
