The leaders of the division going into this match were YMCA Preachers, but they were beaten by a very strong Cwmbran Blues team 26-10 to lose the top spot to the Blues. For the Blues the highly ranked Bhargav Uday Chandra was unstoppable and only dropped one set on his way to his maximum 3 wins. He was well supported by Mark Farrow with 3 wins and Roger Grech with 2 wins. The Preachers battled bravely but were on the wrong end of 5 set defeats in 3 of their matches. This result leaves the Blues top of Division One by 10 points with 3 matches remaining.
