Following this weeks matches Cwmbran Aztecs continue to lead the way in Division One of the Eastern Valley Table Tennis League. This was despite losing their unbeaten status when going down 18-21 to YMCA Preachers whose star performer was Claire Flannagan, with her only defeat being in five sets to Tony Collins. Also for the Preachers, Ray Goulding had two wins and Dave Lloyd had one win. The Aztecs had the consolation of providing the player of the match in Collins with three wins.

Cwmbran Blues currently occupy second place following their competitive 20-17 win over Cwmbran Tigers. Player of the match was the Blues' Josef Sujanic with two wins and he was well supported by Mark Farrow also with two wins. For the Tigers Roshan Rai secured two wins including a very good win over the highly ranked Farrow.

The final match in Division One saw Cardiff Nomads gained a 20-16 win over their closest rivals Blaenavon Aces. The Nomads were indebted to a player of the match performance from Jack Fletcher with three wins and was supported by Peter Gordon and Geoff Strangeway with one win each. For the Aces, guest player Wayne Ford secured two wins with one win each for Iestyn Howells and another guest player, Eric Turner.

Division Two this week saw a top of the table clash between North Gwent Cougars and Cwmbran Eccentrics with the Eccentrics just winning 19-16 and thereby inflicting the first defeat of the season on the Cougars. The Eccentrics were indebted to their guest player Alex Jones who picked up two wins and also Lincoln Alford whose two wins included a success against the higher ranked Sam Slatter. Despite being on the losing side it was the Cougars' Goran Karabar who remained unbeatable on the night and picked up the player of the match award. Their results included a good win for Sam Slatter over the Eccentrics John Thomas.

With the third placed team Cwmbran Dynamos having a bye week it gave the other teams a chance to make inroads. Cwmbran Lions moved closer to the Dynamos following their very close 20-19 win over Cwmbran Panthers. As in a couple of other matches this week the Lions were indebted to their guest player Will Haddon-Smith, who for the second week running was unbeaten in his three matches. He was well supported by John Williams with his two wins. For the Panthers, Howard Gaut collected two wins and Star Limbu one win, however Limbu's two defeats came in five sets. 

The final match in Division Two saw Cwmbran Devils secure a resounding 26-6 win over Cwmbran Fellows, who were without their leading player Wayne Ford. The player of the match was the Devils youngest player, Finley McNeil with three wins and he was well supported by Stan Williams also with three wins and guest player Sunam Rai with two wins. For the Fellows, Mick Mellor picked up their solitary success.
