The final positions in Division Two of the Eastern Valley Table Tennis League were decided following this weeks matches. Cwmbran Panthers have clinched the title after their 19-12 win over Chepstow Chiefs. For the Panthers there were two wins each for Colin Price and Yuri Cherkasenko plus a win for Howard Gaut. Despite their defeat the Chiefs' Connor Pyke took the player of the match award with his three wins including a good win over the higher ranked Price. There was also a very good win for Finley McNeill over the higher ranked Gaut. So its congratulations to the Cwmbran Panthers squad of Colin Price, Yuri Cherkasenko, Howard Gaut and Mike Blatchford on winning the Division Two title for the fourth successive year.

Second place in the division went to Cwmbran Dynamos, who, despite having one match to play, cannot catch the Panthers. In their latest match the Dynamos defeated Cwmbran Fellows 22-10 with Alex Jones, Richard Lownsbrough and guest player Colin Price all collecting two wins each. The Fellows had the consolation of providing the player of the match in Wayne Ford following his three wins.

Third place was confirmed by North Gwent Cougars following their 23-14 win over Cwmbran Devils. The Cougars' Greg Price was the player of the match with his three wins to finish the season undefeated, although Roshan Rai nearly spoilt the unblemished record of Price by taking their match to a deciding game. Rai was also nearly involved in a shock result when losing the first two games to the ever improving Sam Slatter, including a 0-11 second game, only to come back by winning the last three games. Slatter and Garin Edwards picked up two wins each to provide solid support to Price. For the Devils Rai picked up two wins and Colin Scott and Stan Williams battled hard for their three points.

Chepstow Chiefs, who had to play two matches on the same night to catch up on postponements, were defeated 10-19 in their match against Cwmbran Eccentrics. Player of the match was the Eccentrics' John Thomas with three wins and he was well supported by Lincoln Alford with two wins and Alan Howse with one win. For the Chiefs, Connor Pyke rounded off a successful and hectic night with two wins.
