Cwmbran Aztecs continue to lead the way in Division One of the Eastern Valley Table Tennis League following this weeks matches. However, they only managed a 19-19 draw in their latest match against YMCA Preachers. Once again Tony Collins proved unbeatable for the Aztecs to pick up the player of the match award and he was well supported by Mark Edmunds with two wins. For the Preachers, Dave Lloyd picked up two wins and Claire Flannagan and Ray Goulding collected one win each.

Second place in Division One is held by Cwmbran Blues and they continued their challenge with a 25-10 win over Cwmbran Tigers.  This match saw the first appearance of the season of the Blues' Roger Grech, returning after a spell out of the game due to an injury. Player of the match was the Blues' Josef Sujanec with three wins and he was well supported by Mark Farrow also with three wins and Grech with two wins. For the Tigers Jeraze Dhanbhoora picked up their solitary win.

The final game in Division One saw Blaenavon Aces pick up their fourth win in the last five matches with the defeat of Cardiff Nomads 21-12.  Player of the match was the Aces' Jon Allen with three wins and he was well supported by son Ben, also with three wins. For the Nomads Peter Gordon fought well for his win and six team points.

In Division Two the top two teams met for what could have been a title clinching match for Cwmbran Eccentrics who had a twelve point advantage over their nearest rivals North Gwent Cougars. The Eccentrics went into this match without their number one player John Thomas but they were able to borrow the services of the experienced Alex Jones as guest replacement. However, the Cougars were not giving up without a fight and run out winners by 24-14, thus closing the gap to two points with five matches remaining. The player of the match was Goran Karabar with maximum wins and he was well supported by Michel Policht and Sam Slatter with two wins each. For the Eccentrics, Jones picked up a win and Ian Shipley also picked up a win and seven team points.

Cwmbran Lions consolidated fourth position with a 19-12 win over Cwmbran Panthers who unfortunately were only able to field two players. Player of the match was the Lions' John Williams with his maximum wins and was supported by guest player Will Haddon-Smith, winning one of his two matches played. For the Panthers Yuri Cherkasenko picked up two wins and Sunam Rai collected one win.

The final match in Division Two saw Cwmbran Fellows defeat Cwmbran Devils, who only had two players available, by 21-9. the player of the match was Wayne Ford with his maximum two wins and he was well supported by Mick Mellor also with two maximum wins. For the Devils both Stan Williams and Glenda Prytherch picked up a win each.
