In Specsavers Division 1, Wyre Elite beat Bengeworth Red 8-2. Alex Grokhotov and Matt Hartwell were dominant for Elite, both coming away undefeated. Jack Davis and Luke Gresty each gained one win for Red against Darrell Wiltshire.
Bengeworth Red were also held to a draw by Littleton Positives. Jack Davis won 3, but Doug Payne managed 2 wins for Positives. Payne and James Morrow beat Davis and Luke Gresty in a fiveset doubles to salvage the draw for Positives.
Littleton Clubs beat Kington Bulldogs 7-3. Littleton’s John Taylor was Player of the Match with 3 wins, although he had to battle back from 2-1 down on his way to victory against Malcolm MacFarlane. It was an evening of close results. For Clubs, Ken Baker took all 3 of his matches to 5 sets. Baker beat MacFarlane but lost out to both Andrew Smith and Ernie Smith in a series of entertaining clashes.
Wallace House Avengers continued their unbeaten run with victories over Bengeworth Purple and Littleton Cobras.
