In the final week of the season, Wallace House Troopers moved to the top of Specsavers Division 2 with wins against Littleton Dolphins and Wyre Barbedwyre. Barring an unlikely heavy defeat in their final rearranged match, they will be champions. Troopers’ Keith Ferguson will also be named the top individual player after a straight sets victory over nearest rival James Morrow of Littleton Dolphins. Ferguson has 39 wins from 37 matches and is unbeaten since October.
Meanwhile, Bengeworth Sharks assured second place with a routine 9-1 win over Littleton Bears.
Dave Bevington put in a strong performance for Littleton Giants, winning 3 against Littleton Dolphins and claiming his first Player of the Match award this season. However, Dolphins won the match 6-4 as John McKay and Tim Whales fought back with 2 wins each and Barry Anstey got his first win of the season.
