Littleton Aces put in an impressive performance against Kington Bulldogs in a 10-0 whitewash. Mark Bilsborrow, Duncan Arrandale and Saulius Breitaris were too good for Andrew Smith, Steve Shaw and Malcolm McFarlane.

Owls had a better result against Kington Bulldogs, winning 7-3. Luke Moffat had 3 wins for Owls. Keith Ferguson and Christopher Lane each won 2. Malcolm McFarlane was the best player for Bulldogs on the night, picking up 2 wins.

We would like to congratulate Margaret Dignum who has recently won the Womens' Over 75 event at European Championship. What a great achievement!

Evesham & District Table Tennis Cadet and Novice championships 2017

Young players from Evesham & District have been competing in the annual championships.

The new Cadet Boys (under 15) champion is Luke Fisher. He beat Alex Emms 3-1 in the final.

In the women’s final, Lynda Reid of Bengeworth beat Rosie Phillpot of Littleton in straight sets. Reid is the most successful player in the history of the championships, having won the title 23 times. This year was the fortieth anniversary of her first win, back in 1977.

Kington Blades moved up to 3rd place with a 6-4 win over JLM Dragonflies. Alan Cotton won 3 for Blades, all in straight sets.

Glazzard won the rest of his matches against Sunrisers and also managed 3 wins in Warriors’ 7-3 defeat to Littleton Bears. He remains the highest ranked player in the division with 19 wins from 20 played.

In other matches, there were routine 10-0 wins for Kington Blades against JLM Owls and for Littleton Positives against Bengeworth Purple.
