David Conn

The Service of Celebration for David Conn's life was extremely well attended, in tribute to all his personal, professional and sporting contributions. Thank you to the many who came from our table-tennis community, including past and present officers of our League, members of West Exe and other clubs and the Table Tennis England Coach Paul Whiting.

We have sad news that David Conn, former Secretary and Coach of West Exe has died. Our deepest sympathy from the League to all David's family and friends. David's passion for table-tennis has left a lasting legacy including Ping and related projects of which he was an enthusiastic supporter.

Jamie has asked us to pass on the funeral announcement (see below). As it will be a celebration of David's life, non-black dress code is preferred.


Dr David Arthur

On Tuesday, December 15th 2015, David died at his family home, aged 56 years. Much loved husband of Clare, loving dad of Rhona and Jamie. He will be very sadly missed by all his family and many friends. A Service of Celebration for the life of David will take place at Exeter and Devon Crematorium (St. Peter’s Chapel) on Monday, January 4th 2016 at 10:45 a.m followed by the Buckerell Lodge Hotel from 12:15 p.m. No flowers please. Donations in memory of David, in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity and Hospiscare, can be given by retiring collection or cheques made payable to W.H. Squires & Son Ltd Donations Account may be sent to Walter H. Squires & Son, Chapel of Rest, 27 Higher Street, Cullompton, Devon, EX15 1AJ.
