Match venues and playing time constraints

The League is aware that some venues have playing time constraints, e.g. in some cases having to vacate the venue by 10pm.

Formally the position remains that the home side is responsible for the venue, and if the match cannot be completed due to venue closure then the uncompleted sets would be forfeit to the away side.

However we know that our members participate in the League in order to play table tennis, and we ask that all concerned cooperate as much as possible to avoid such a situation arising. It is within the rules, by agreement, to rearrange match order and/or to play on 2 tables if available and players physically able to do that.

The League also recognizes that there are underlying issues about match length and is studying possible proposals for future seasons.
