Kate Cheer The History Girl

Liverpool 4 Star Grand Prix Sudden Death

The day started with a piece of TT history, as Kate Cheer became the first ever female Sudden Death Grand Prix winner against a top class line up. This format has become a favourite for all competitors since its introduction on the circuit 2 years ago, with its unique single point system quickly taking the winners through each successive round to the final.

On the way to the final Kate beat Dylan Curry, Fraser Riley, Connor Whitehead and Jack Bennett, then she came up against Abhijay Mishra, who had defeated Adam Laws, Rhys Davies, Barry Cheer and Chris Doran.

With serve advantage, Cheer made the most of it to score the decisive point to claim the prize money.
