Paul Hainsworth added straight game wins over Hunkin and Sarre and also teamed up with Ogier to defeat the Whistlers combination of Hunkin and Foss in a 4 game doubles win. He was unable to go through the match unbeaten as he lost out to Foss in the deciding 5th end of their encounter, a result which prevented the whitewash.
