Senior League Week 19
Division 1
Lions B saw their lead at the top of Division 1 reduced after they were defeated for only the 2nd time this season, on this occasion by Whistlers C.  The Lions team were missing Olly Langlois and went down 6-4 to the young Whistlers team.  Josh Stacey was the form player for Whistlers, picking up wins against Ryan Bichard, reserve Martin Sarre and most notably in the key match against Josh Butler, 11-9 in the 5th end of a close encounter.  Stacey was ably backed up by twin Lawrence who also beat Sarre and Bichard but was defeated by Butler.  The win was sealed by reserve Ryan Gilson who picked up a crucial win against Ryan Bichard 12-10 in the deciding game of the team match.
Whistlers A gained some ground on the leaders by beating their B side 7-3.  Garry Dodd remains unbeaten in the league this season after defeating Dawn Morgan, Sam Kershaw and Daisy Kershaw.  Mark Pipet also defeated the three Whistlers players, while reserve Joseph Bourgaize got the better of Daisy Kershaw in straight games.  Meanwhile Lions A and Lions C fought out a 5-5 draw.

Division 2
Lions F continue to lead the way in Division 2 after a tight 6-4 victory over Whistlers D.  Kay Chivers was on form for the Whistlers side, picking up wins against Jamie Ferbrache, Luke Bichard and Peter Powell and then teamed up with Keith Opie to win the doubles match against Bichard and Ferbrache.  However Whistlers could not find the elusive 5th win with Opie losing narrowly to both Ferbrache and Bichard in 5 sets.  Lions E move into 2nd position following a 6-4 win against close rivals Lions D

Division 3

Whistlers F maintained their 2-point lead at the top of Division 3 with a narrow 6-4 win over Ravenscroft Panthers B.  Joseph Bourgaize continued his fine form this season with commanding wins over Shaun Mosley, Steve Martin and Peter Vivian.  He then paired with Paula Le Ber to win the doubles match over Vivian and Martin.  Le Ber defeated Mosley and Martin to seal the win for Whistlers.

Division 4

Lions I continued their imperious form with an 8-2 victory over Ravenscroft Panthers C.  Andy Ferbrache maintained his 100% record for the season and Sue Ferbrache also defeated the Panthers trio of Mark Windsor, Nick Windsor and Billy Ogier.  Mark Windsor and Ogier showed good form to both defeat Lions' Jenny Powell.

Division 5
The two leading teams in Division 5 show no sign of slipping up as both recorded comfortable wins.  Lions L beat Lions K 8-2, with 3 wins apiece for Graham and Janine Mallett and 2 for Derek Cave.  Whistlers O beat Whistlers L 8-2, with Shane Cotter and Ellis Tomlin also unbeaten on the night
