Godalming Simply Let British League Report - weekend 2

Godalming Simply Let's British League teams endured difficult times in the second round of matches of the 2018-19 season. Godalming I only managed to win one match whereas Godalming II lost all four.

The first team scored a 7-2 win on the Saturday over bottom team Portishead. Hari Gehlot, Adam Laws and Federico Viterbo each managed to win two matches and Jamie Nordin added one. They had to play their first match on Sunday against Milton Keynes without Federico, their number one player, and this proved a challenge too far as they lost 8-1. A doubles win for Adam Laws and Rob Pountney was all they could muster.

Godalming seconds were similarly weakened as they were without Danielle Kelly and they found it hard going. Charlie Cunningham and Robin Honey both defeated Richard Hazell of Horsham Blades and Chris King added two singles wins in 8-1 defeats to 23 Technology and Horsham TTC but that was all they could manage. Steve Day and Jonathan Cannon completed the team line up but ended up winless.
