25th NOVEMBER MATCH REPORT

The only match played this week in the Eastern Valley Table Tennis League was the postponed match from earlier in the season between Blaenavon Bulldogs and Cwmbran Eccentrics in Div. Two. This was a clash between the sides occupying the bottom 2 positions. The Bulldogs were without their number 1 player Bethany Brewer and it was always going to be a difficult match against their more experienced opponents. The result was a 24-12 win for the Eccentrics, however, the final score line did not reflect the competitive nature of the match as only 2 matches were won in straight sets. Brewer's replacement Joseph Hill did particularly well to pick up 6 of his sides points in only his 2nd match of the season. The player of the match was Peter Alderson with 3 wins and only edged out his team mate Lincoln Alford by conceding 1 less set.

It is back to a full set of fixtures next week in the Eastern Valley Table Tennis League.
