15TH DECEMBER MATCH REPORT

In Division One the postponed top of the table clash between Bristol Nomads and YMCA Preachers was played. As is becoming the norm these days both sides had to call upon substitute players to fulfil the fixture and it was the Preachers' Dean Cundy who proved the difference between the sides by leading his side to a 21-15 win. Cundy completed a player of the match performance with his 3 wins, although, he was taken all the way by Chris Price before winning in 5 sets. This result leaves the Nomads with a slender 1 point lead over the Preachers with 6 matches to come in the new year.

In Division Two there was 1 game left over from last week to be completed in the match between Cwmbran Devils and Cwmbran Dynamos. The final result, a 27 - 11 win for the Dynamos, did not reflect the competitive nature of the match as the Devils lost 4 games in 5 sets and 2 games in 4 sets. The Dynamos players Alex Jones, Star Limbu and Will Haddon-Smith won all their matches, but, it was Jones who picked up the player of the match award. This result still leaves the Dynamos in second place, 19 points behind the leaders Cwmbran Panthers.
