In the latest round of matches in the Eastern Valley Table Tennis League Cwmbran Aztecs took on YMCA in a Division One match. It was an exciting match with the result being decided in the final game with player of the match Tony Collins beating Ray Goulding to secure an 18-17 win for the Aztecs.

The other match in Division One between Cwmbran Blues and Cwmbran Colts was not completed in time with the final game being played next week.

In Division Two the top 3 sides had similar margin of wins. Cwmbran Panthers maintained their top position with a 22 - 11 win over Cwmbran Devils. Player of the match Howard Gaut was ably backed up by his team mate Mike Blatchford with their 3 wins each.

Cwmbran Dynamos are 5 points behind the leaders following their 22- 8 win against Blaenavon Bulldogs. However, they do have a game in hand and will be confident of overcoming this deficit. For the Dynamos there were 3 wins each for Alex Jones and Alson Limbu. For the Bulldogs there were good wins for Jack Freegard and Joe Hill over their higher ranked opponent Will Smith-Haddon.

The third placed side Blaenavon Aces also had a comfortable win over Cwmbran Eccentrics 21-10. Player of the match Mathew Pearce won all his matches for the Aces whilst Lincoln Alford won 2 matches for the Eccentrics.

Next week sees the Dynamos using their game in hand with a match against the Aces, the result of which could go a long way to deciding the outcome of the Division Two title.
