Incredible Palmer claims first Junior title

Lewis Palmer ended his season on a glorious high as he won his first ever Under 18's national title in the Darlington 2 star tournament.

Palmer put in the performance of his life to defeat British number 19 Joshua Harland in the final in what is, unquestionably, the greatest result of Palmer's short career.

Despite being the second seed in the event, Palmer had the odds stacked against him in the final. His opponent, Harland, from Ormesby, was ranked over 380 places above him in the British ranking list and was part of the Ormesby side that won this year's Junior Boys British League this season.

However, Palmer showcased his progression over the past 12 months with an unbelievable display to secure the title, eventually prevailing 11-6 in the fifth to end his season on a high and raise the credibility of Halifax TTC once again.

Lewis shall now eagerly await the next release of the national ranking list, with the points he has gained likely to move him up a hefty amount of places.
