Bexhill A took a major step towards retaining their title in Division One of the Hastings & District Table Tennis League as they opened a 3-point gap after an 8-2 win over Hollington B.  Rob Warner was unbeaten for Bexhill with Lewis Mayhew and Martin Kellaway both winning 2. Rose Rainton had an outstanding game for Hollington, winning two and taking Warner to 11-9 in the 5th set.

Hollington A now have much to do after a 6-4 defeat to fourth placed Tackleway A. Paul Barry kept Hollington afloat with a maximum, but Tackleway had 2 wins each for John Wilson, Roger Pingram and Roy Funnell, although 5 of those wins required a 5th set.

Division 2 continues to provide a tremendous competitive edge with leaders Bexhill D being knocked from their perch after  a 6-4 defeat to Tigers B, their first loss of the season. Despite a maximum from Ryan Warner, two wins each from Chris Woods and Roger Smith, who also combined for the doubles, saw Tigers home.

New leaders are Tackleway C who beat Tackleway E 8-2 with Andy Brown and James Gorridge unbeaten.

Two points adrift in second place are Bexhill E who hammered fourth-placed Saints D 10-0 through Trevor Towner, John Bradbury and Brian Beaney. This result leaves Saints D 7 points behind the leaders with 3 to play, which may prove too much for them.

In Division 3, Saints E seem destined for the title after beating nearest rivals Bexhill F 8-2, with a maximum for Claire Bridges and 2 wins apiece for Peter Lambert and Derek Brown.  Saints E have won all 18 matches and are 7 points clear with a game in hand.

NALGO B edged home 6-4 against Hollington G with Ron Spencer unbeaten and Eric Cruttenden winning 2, as did Keith Young for Hollington.

Bexhill G beat Hollington H 7-3 when Malcolm Glover won 3 and Ricky Knight 2. Kieran Gibbs won 2 for the losers.
