Unbelievable Tekkers (Tristan Hyland and Ciaran Potter) have taken the lead in the Hastings & District Junior Table Tennis League Division One after a run of wins including a 5-0 defeat for early leaders Fiery Balls,

Tekkers were fully extended by third-placed Bangers & Smash when Hyland had his only defeat of the season to Kai Potter at 14-12 in the third. All four players won one each before Tekkers took the doubles in three games to win 3-2.

Balls of Fury also took the leaders to 3-2 with Georgia and Holli Ferguson both winning once.

Fiery Balls have been in free fall but they too managed a 3-2 success against Balls of Fury, with reserve Josh Frazer unbeaten, before going down 4-1 to Bangers & Smash when Reece Lincoln had a maximum for the winners.

In second place are Awesome Blaze who have won three tight matches, none more so than the 3-2 win over TT Demons when Sacha Ward won twice before helping the Blaze take the doubles 11-9, 14-16, 13-11.

Ward, who is second in the averages, was also unbeaten in the 3-2 win over Balls of Fury but this time won by virtue of Leo Marquessen’s  win over Georgia Ferguson at 11-9 in the third.

Simona Dyulgerova was unbeaten as Lucky Edges beat Fiery Balls 4-1.

After three wins on the trot, Balls of Steel (Josh Frazer and Timothy Allen) lead Division Two but they had to come from 1-2 down to beat Tabletoppers 3-2 with a maximum for Frazer.

Frazer, who has yet to lose in Division Two, was again unbeaten as Balls of Steel went down 2-3 to Supersidespinners who had one win apiece from Ben Coates and Daniel Willis.

The Smashers are second after two big wins and they took out Double Trouble 5-0 with two wins each for Ryan Humphreys and Megan White.

Early leaders Backspinners have slumped to mid-table and lost 2-3 to Double Trouble despite two wins for Oliver Tippett.
