Match Report - Week 10 - January 17th 2018
Premier Division

First loss of the season for Hang Em High against the junior team Assassins. Assassins move back into the number two spot following  their well deserved shock 6-4 win over Hang Em High who incidentally turned out their top team.

For Assassins a fantastic treble for Keigo Burnham a singles win for Ben Worley over Michael Bridger and a singles win for Charlie Hough over Andrew Sharland. Needing the doubles for victory Keigo and Ben excelled with a straight sets win over Michael Bridger and Graham Carter to defeat Hang Em High 6-4.
For Hang Em High two wins for Graham Carter and a night to forget for Michael Bridger and Andrew Sharland with one win apiece. This puts Assassins just three points behind the leaders .

A 7-3 win for Ping Panthers over Bullets also keeps them in the running for the championship.
For Ping Panthers it was three for Marc Burman, two for John Strang and one for Lynne Trussell with the doubles going to Lynne and Marc over David Champneys and Fred Bodeau.

For Bullets David Champneys won two with John Burnham  winning one. Third player Fred Bodeau may have lost all three but he took Marc to a close five setter.

A 6-4 for Dynamos over Game Changers .
Two wins each for the Caddy Brothers Matthew and Richard with one win for Dennis Hayden with Matthew and Richard winning the doubles over Jim Skinner and Michael Day of Game Changers to seal the win. For Game Changers a treble for Jim Skinner and plus one for Costas Kyriacou.

Division One.

A close call for the unbeaten leaders St Andrews who needed the doubles to come out 6-4 winners over X Men.
St Andrews Terry Dean and Stuart Vincent had two wins and a loss each with Darius Mayhew one win leaving St Andrews needing the doubles for victory. Terry and Vincent defeated Peter and Oliver Caddy in the forth set. For X Men a star man performance from Oliver Caddy with a hard earned treble anda single win for Tom Christophersen.

In second spot Dark Horses gained maximum points with an 8-2 win over Bashers. A treble for Ross Knowlson plus two apiece for his team mates Steven Ive and Viv Cole. Viv and Steven teamed up to defeat the Basher twins Oliver and Patrick Neil in the doubles.
For Bashers it was one win each for Oliver and Patrick with third player John Bridger unusually coming away empty handed.

Spin Masters were well pleased to have an unexpected 6-4 win over Lindfield Thunderbolts. Again victory was gained with a win in the doubles. For Spin Masters, two wins each for Riccardo Bagaini and Tommy Worley with Jim Allum winning one. The two juniors Riccardo and Tommy defeated Andy Steel and Vincent L’Estrange  in the doubles.
For Thunderbolts two wins each for Vincent L’Estrange and Andy Steel.

Division Two

With Magiks clear leaders in this division it is a case of who will claim the runner up trophy. Pingwins are second on 31 points but Burning Rubber only one point behind on 30 points.

Magiks worked hard for a 7-3 win over Cutting Edge with three wins for Kevin Deacon two wins for Tony Turk and one for Alistair Blue with Alistair and Kevin defeating David Polhill and Freddie Wiseman to win the doubles.

For Cutting Edge David Polhill won one while Oscar Wiseman aged nine amazed all by defeating experienced seniors Tony Turk and Alistair Blue for his two wins..

Odd score line with the match Pingwins Vs  Dangermen as both teams could only field two players.
For Pingwins Adam Wiseman two wins and a walkover and Paul Lewis one win and a walkover with Adam and Paul winning the doubles.
For Danger Men, Tony Pells a win and a walkover and Colin Cooper a walkover.
Final score 6-3 to Pingwins.

Burning Rubber team came away 10-0 winners over Blade Runners 
Two wins and a walkover all around for Blake Davis, Gavin Pitts and Steve Lee with Bake Davis and Steve Lee winning the doubles. Keith Johnson and Adrian Sykes for Blades found the Burning Rubber team too hot to handle!

An evenly balanced match between Swifts and Smashing Pumpkins finished with the all girls team of Swifts coming away 6-4 winners.
For Swifts, a treble for Alanna Blain, two for Claudia Hough and Alanna and Claudia winning the doubles over Peter Vincent and Oliver Howard in the forth set for the team win.

For Smashing Pumpkins two wins for Oliver Howard including a 14-12 win in the fifth set against Claudia Hough. With Simon Howard and Peter  Vincent winning one each.
