Match Report - Week 21 - 4th April 2018

Division One

After dominating this division all season a 7-3 win over Paddlers for St Andrews will take them into the premier division next season.
Three each for Terry Dean and Stuart Vincent plus the doubles.
For Paddlers it was one win each for Samantha Stoner, Cathy Seiderer and Phil Harvey who took Stuart Vincent to five.

Worthy runners up Dark Horses Ross Knowlson, Ben Freeman and Viv Cole finished on a high in defeating a strong X Men team 10-0 with trebles all round for Horses trio with Viv Cole and Ben Freeman also winning the doubles.
Despite matches going to four and five sets X Men team Peter Dunsby, Peter Caddy and Tom Christophersen could not handle the determination of Dark horses.

Final match in Div One saw long four and five setter games going to Lindfield Thunderbolts over Bashers 7-3 with a treble for Jim Griffin, two for Andy Steel and one for David Metcalfe.  A final five setter went to Andy Steel and Jim Griffin in the doubles.
For Bashers John Bridger won two and Claudio Bagaini one.












Division Two.

Magiks following a brief visit from division one this season go straight back up with a final 10-0 win over Smashing Pumpkins.
Alistair Blue, Mel Sims Kevin Deacon and Tony Turk prove too strong for this division.


Runners up Burning Rubber finished with an 8-2 win over Pingwins. Trebles for Steve Lee and Gavin Pitts with two for Blake Davies 
For Pingwins a win for Paul Lewis plus the doubles win with team mate Rupert Browning over Burning Rubbers Gavin Pitts and Steve Lee.

A tight 6-4 win for Dangermen over Swifts was the final game in division two.
With no player with a treble it was two for Colin Cooper and Ron Bailham plus one for Peter Vincent with the doubles going to Colin Cooper and Ron Bailham over Alanna Blain and Emily Dunsby.

For Swifts two wins for Alanna Blain one for Emily Dunsby and one for Keith Johnson...

The Leagues Closed Championships take place at Warden Park School on Sunday 22nd of April with a very large entry.
