MATCH REPORT - WEEK 5 - NOVEMBER 4TH 2020

Premier Division

A difficult time for all sports with the stop for a month owing to lock down then possible a break for Christmas to follow.


Owing to lockdown TT Legends and Assassins were unable to complete this week’s fixture. Despite this TT Legends still keep the top spot above Horsham Spinners. Spinners played Ping Panthers and came away 7-3 winners.

For Spinners, two for Rory Scott, Lynne Trussell and Faldie Adams. Although   all three players found Panthers top player Marc Burman too hot to handle. For Ping Panthers three for Marc Burman but no joy for Panthers Sasha O’Halloran although she took a set off Rory Scott.

Divergents took on Dynamos and came away 6-3 winners. For Divergents Dan Pound playing his first game won three as did Michael Robinson. Dynamos Dennis Hayden, Richard Cosens, Matthew Caddy all won one apiece.

Crawley Knights went down 8-1 to Hang em High.  For Hang em High three apiece for Andrew Sharland and Michael Bridger with Graham Carter winning two. Josef Krakovsky was the winner the Knights.


Division One

Thunderbolts continue to dominate this division with a 9-0 win over New Avengers. With this team Thunderbolts will be favourites to top the division. Trebles all round for Robert Watson, Andrew Foster and Andy Steel. Andrew Foster made the biggest impact winning most of his matches under six points. Luke Goff played well going to five sets in two of his games.

In second place Pingwins defeated Spin Masters 6-3 and are only five points behind the leaders. For Pingwins both Brett Holt and David Polhill continue with trebles. For Spin Masters Claudio Bagaini, Tommy Worley and Phil Tash all won one game apiece.

An exciting match saw King Pongs defeating X Men 5-4. For Kings two apiece for Onkare Singe and Darius Mayhew plus one for Nikita Kalyazin.
For the X Team Angus Ogg was the mainstay winning three singles with Peter Dunsby winning one.
