Post Easter Update

Final positions in the League are firming up, but both Division 1 and Division 3 are still up for grabs, although Adeyfield 1st have tightened their grip, slightly, as they attempt to regain the League title, whilst Division 3 sees St. George's A with their noses *just* in front, but hotly pursued by both Northchurch B and Adeyfield C. Meanwhile, St. George's 1st have already won Division 2, with Row as runners-up.  Two more League weeks to go, and the D3 race, at least, looks certain to go to the final week.

Some of you may have noticed that *Team Captain contact details* had 'disappeared' from the website!  This was *not* the League that had done it, but it had been done by TT365, in preparation for new legislation about "personal information", called GDPR (about which you'll have probably received notification from your Bank, amongst others), as this new legislation, with tighter restrictions over the use of this information, comes into force very soon.  Essentially, all use will need to be agreed by the contact, themselves, so this will be requested from you, by the League, on the Registration Forms for the new season, and/or you can log into your TT365 account, and allow/disallow the use of your details.  For now, the League Handbook still holds contact details (though we may have to remove this, during the Summer), so follow the INFORMATION link on the Home Page.
STOP PRESS : Contact details have been (temporarily) reinstated by TT365.

Some of you may also have seen notifications on the TT365 website, that it now allows entry of Match Results, directly by Players !  We are planning to introduce this in Hemel next season.  It will be further explained at the AGM (5th June) at Adeyfield - from 8pm, along with the above GDPR !  Once again, the new season's Registration Forms will contain additional information about who will be enabled to enter / confirm match results for your own team(s).  So, it may be the start of the end of sending match cards in?

Finally, this week is Wren Cup / Wren Plate semi-final week, and there were some *very* close results (so a big well done to Geoff Walke on brilliant handicapping), with, in the Wren Cup, St. George's A beating Northchurch B by a mere two (2) points and Leverstock Green defeating Highfield by 44 points, whilst the two Wren Plate semi-finals saw Adeyfield A beat Flamstead A by just twelve (12) points and Crown & Sceptre A beat Adeyfield 1st by just six (6) points!!  Finals on Tuesday, 1st May, at Adeyfield Hall.

The last competition of the Closed Championships will be played the following day, Wednesday, 2nd May, at the Crown & Sceptre venue, namely the Open Doubles. The original event had been due to be played at St. George's Hall, but bad weather intervened and it had to be postponed. Colin Tibbles has contacted those doubles pairs involved.

Reminder : All postponed League matches should also have been played by Friday, 11th May, at the latest (unless agreed otherwise with the League).
