GWD first draw

League Leaders G Ward D were held to a draw for the first time this season by a rejuvenated Queens Barwell. Roger Hill recorded his now usual three wins and team mate Ollie Wynne winning two for G Ward. Alan Morris was top man for Queens with two good wins. G Ward D returned to winning ways against their own C team taking the game by 6 sets to 4. Hill took his now customary three, with team mate Jack Dennis 2. Bob Pickersgill collecting two wins for G Ward C.

Market Bosworth 1 collected their third win of the season when they defeated Queens Barwell by 6 sets to4. John Veasey(MB1) just claiming all three of his sets despite a spirited performance by Steve Lawton who just lost in a five set game  11-8 in the fifth.

Cat G just lost to the returning to form Hit ‘N’ Hope by 4 sets to 6. Ian Nixon winning his three for H’n’H and Dael Sidwell (Cat G) with two for the home side.

 In their next match H’n’H drew with Cat H despite a fine maximum from Cat’s Steve Crutchley. His game with Hit ‘n Hope’s Bryan Moylan was a highlight, Crutchley just running out winner by 11-5 in the fifth game. Cat H defeated GWF by 7 sets to three with another Crutchley maximum.  Crutchley recorded his third maximum in a row when his team Cat H overcame Market Bosworth 1 by 8 sets to 2.

Hit’n hope beat Market Bosworth 2 by 9 sets to 1.

G Ward F gained a very good win over Hit’n’Hope by 8 sets to 2. Dick Jenkins won his three with teammates Tom Kelly and Connor Harris both winning two each.

Queen’s Barwell collected another victory over Cat F by 6 sets to 4.

G Ward D continue to lead the table with 92 points from 12 games. Hit ‘N ‘ Hope move up to second place with 80 pts from 13 and GW C third on 76 pts from 12.
