Weekly Press Report - Pre Season

Fun 88 IOM Table Tennis League - a look ahead to the new season

The new Fun 88 sponsored IOM table tennis season begins next week with the first series of matches due to take place on the 22nd September. Practice sessions have been taking place since June, and there is a keen sense of anticipation amongst the Island's players. This year there will be 10 teams in Divisions 1 and 2, and 7 in Division 3. Travellers A begin their title defence in Division 1 against newly promoted Division 2 champions Travellers B, whilst last year's Division 1 runners up Ramsey A play Division 2 runners up Desmond's Douglas A. Competition is likely to be fierce in all matches, as it will be in Divisions 2 and 3.  Special thanks to our sponsors Fun 88 who have kindly agreed to again support the League for the forthcoming season.
