3 Horse Race

With the half way stage approaching, Division 1 of the Kendal & District Table Tennis League is starting to look like a 3 horse race. Dalton A lead Natland A by 3 points but IBIS, after a slow start are ideally placed for a late run.

Division 2 remains extremely tight. Natland D are currently in the best position but Burton B&D and Dallam A are all in contention for a top 2 finish. Others could still enter the fray with a strong second half performance.

Kirkby Stephen B lead to way in Division 3, closed tracked by Grayrigg, but both Dent and Crook C are still in the hunt for a promotion place.

In terms of the top performers, Dalton B’s Jonathan Lowes is the only unbeaten player in Division 1, with 9 from 9. In Division 2, leaving aside those who have played less than 3 matches, top performers are Martin Wakelin of Burton D, with 21 singles wins out of 23, and Bryan Rhodes of Burton B, with 15 out of 18.

In Division 3, Dent’s Steve Hawley, with 11 wins out of 12 and Kirkby Stephen’s John Huck, with 16 out of 18 are the top performers. All of the match results, including the scorecards for each match and the league tables, can be found on the League’s website (www.tabletennis365.com/Kendal).
