Dalton ahead at half way

With most teams in Division 1 of the Kendal & District Table Tennis League now having played 7 of their 14 matches, Dalton Cricket Club A lead the Division by 5 points from Natland A. Dalton have won 6 of their 7 matches, losing only to IBIS.

In Division 2, Dallam A, having played 10 of their 16 matches and with a game in hand, lead Burton D by a single point. Both John Fitzgerald and Thomas Parkinson have won 80% or more of their matches for the Milnthorpe club, which now looks a strong candidate for promotion to Division 1. Performance of the week was reserved for Kirkby Stephen A, who stopped Burton B in their tracks with an 8-2 victory. A hat-trick of wins for Peter George and 2 each from David White and Andrew Leach, put the Burton team firmly in their place.

In Division 3, Grayrigg, having played 8 of their 12 matches and with a game in hand over their nearest rivals, lead the way from Kirkby Stephen B, by 4 points. Grayrigg have only been defeated once so far, by their arch rivals, Kirkby Stephen B. However, Crook C and Dent remain well placed to challenge for the 2 promotion places.
