It is with great sadness that the League learned of the passing of Dennis Millman last week. For 40 years our Chairman, he also carried out many other roles over those years and more to keep the League running, and maintained his interest to the end. He will be greatly missed by all his friends in the Kettering League and wider table tennis world. Our condolences go out to his family on the loss of Dennis and his wife only a few weeks earlier.
I can now advise that Dennis' funeral will take place on Wednesday 2nd May, at 2p.m. at St Andrew's Church Kettering. This is the Church at the town end of Rockingham Road, opposite Sainsbury's, where Kettering Town used to play their home matches in the Church rooms. Parking is not easy in that area, especially during the day, so you may need to give yourself time. The best option may be to simply pay to park in Sainsbury's car park -if you needed something from the store you could claim back the charge!
Flowers are acceptable or if you wanted donations are to Jack Warwick for Charity: BAT Foundation, who use table tennis to help those with Alzheimer’s.
