LAST RESULTS OF SEASON CATCH UPS

OLYMPIANS played the SLAPPERS, with Olympians in very sharp form. Jack Blyth, Alkisti and Andy Wignall were in blistering form, top matches being a 7-11, 11-7, 10-12, 11-4, 11-7 win for Alkisti over Clive Mitchell and a win again in five for her over Andy Flynn. Match result maximums for the Olympian team in a 10-0 victory.

CRUSADERS A took on FANTASTIC FIVE (including guest Shaun Harris).Best result for the Five was Ben Applewhite’s win over Dan Otter by 11-5, 11-6, 6-11, 4-11, 12-10 but the A’s eased home with maximums for Dan Rimmer, Matt Hewitt and two for Mr Otter with a 9-1 win for the A’s to maintain their title push.

OLYMPIANS were tested by KEAL MADRID. Top form Olympians swept them away however with a 10-0 win.

CRUSADERS C had a visit from title contenders RACERS. Top match was Rob Trevethick against Linconshire Junior Champion, Nic Keast with Nic easing to a 12-10, 8-11, 11-4, 5-11, 12-10 win . Daren Thorpe however upset the champion with a win in four games and Daren took out Marilyn Bawden in five games. Three wins for County Ladies Singles Champion , Lesley Keast plus two from Nic and the Doubles maintained  the Racers challenge with a 6-4 win.

WARRIORS destroyed the FANTASTIC FIVE with three fine singles wins for Anthony and Mike Tindall and Jack Bradley in an excellent 10-0 victory.

CRUSADERS B had a tight match with SLAPPERS. Three wins for Captain Clive with one each for Ryan Mitchell and Jonah Shepherd were countered by two for Q and one each for the Duddy and Roy Harper. The result was a win for Slappers by 6-4.

RUSTONS A took on a two man, CRUSADERS A. Maximums for the two Dan’s despite the valiant efforts of Terry Colam, going to four and five games took the Crusaders A team to a 7-3 win.

RACERS had an excellent match with ST PETER’S A. Two wins for Lesley Keast in five and one for Nic , with two wins for Pete Mackie and one for Stephen Read. The result was a 6-4 win for Racers.

ST PETER’S A hosted the last match of the season against OLYMPIANS. A fine win by Mr Mackie over Alkisti by 11-8, 14-16, 11-9, 10-12, 11-8 was not enough to stop Mark Donoghue and Jack Blyth both taking maximums plus two from Alkisti and the doubles in an excellent win by 9-1 for Olympians and the TITLE.

FIRST PLACE WERE OLYMPIANS  WON 20 LOST 2 98 POINTS

SECOND PLACE  WERE RACERS  WITH 87 POINTS

THIRD PLACE WERE CRUSADERS A WITH 86 POINTS

OLYMPIANS FIRST IN DOUBLES WITH 86%, CRUSADERS A AND RACERS 73%

LESLEY KEAST AND DAN RIMMER TOP OF MAN OF MATCH AWARDS WITH 13 WINS EACH

 

DIVISION TWO

TIGERS took on RSSC B. Dominic Batey had an excellent win over David Barber and Stephen Naylor again showed what a good player he is with two fine singles wins. However three singles for John Bowman plus two from Glyn Williams helped them to a 7-3 win.

ST PETERS B with a two man team were challenged by RSSC B. An excellent win for Bob Dorrian in five over Glyn Williams was all St Peters could do and three each from the outstanding Dick Peacock and John Bowman swept them to a 9-1 victory and RUNNERS UP IN DIVISION TWO.

ASSASSINS WON THE LEAGUE WITH 98 POINTS AND 18 WINS OUT OF 18

RUSTONS B WERE SECOND WITH 78 POINTS AND 16 WINS OUT OF 18

ASSASSINS HAD 1005 IN DOUBLES ,RUSTONS B SECOND WITH 78%

ANDY SMITH WON THE MOST MAN OF THE MATCH AWARDS WITH 9
