ROY DAVIDSON

Not many people survive air crashes,
one Lincoln player did.

He was stationed at RAF Waddington
in the 1950's when a Lincoln bomber, the successor to the Lancaster
overshot the runway , just high enough to clear the houses and belly
flopped in the middle of the married quarters. Roy was the rear
gunner!

Roy went on playing in the League
and representing Lincoln in Haigh cup games for many years after his
ordeal.
