I have to say that B&TB were flattered by the score and very much had the rub of the green;
that said, Flavinda had been drinking wine at an office function in the afternoon and this probably affected her first two games and Howie Jaffe probably felt aggrieved to have to face her sober in the last singles...
Owing to the first 4 games going to 5 sets, the next six were played on two tables and despite the catching up. It was 9.22pm when we started the doubles. Given the 9.30pm finish time we mutually agreed that the doubles should be the best of three instead of best of five.
Not exactly a travesty of justice but Joola deserved better.
