Division 1 Report.

Championship holders CSSC Ramblers back to full strength continued their fine form with a 9-1 victory against Crackpots E thanks to maximums from Chris Hewitt and Alan Salisbury.  Dave Steen secured Crackpots’ sole success winning in straight sets against Graham Thompson.  Colin Dolding fought bravely against Alan before losing 13-11 in the fifth set.


Division 2 Report.

 Travellers consolidated their league leadership with a 7-3 victory against Scuttling Gang achieved by a maximum from Toby Wren together with doubles success with Martin Snee who also contributed 2 singles victories and 1 for Ken Hipwell.  Richard McKenna (2) and Ray Davies (1) replied for Scuttling Gang.   Dynamos defeated fellow Poolbrook team Wanderers 7-3 by virtue of 3 singles victories for Tom James and John Phillips and 1 from Geoff Burford.  Dave Bradley and Rob Weston secured singles wins for Dynamos.  In the doubles Rob and Charlie’s experience showed in their defeat of Geoff and Tom.  CSSC Nomads enjoyed an excellent 9-1 success against Upton Floods thanks to 3 wins each for Dave Hayes and Tony Hughes and 2 for Geoff Davies, Roger Davies contributed Uptons’ sole success against Geoff.


Division 3 Report.

Manor Park Devils continued their strong start to the season with a 10-0 whitewash against Abbey College, 3 victories for Paul Lythgoe, Liz Hallam and new signing Ralph Cook.  Crackpots B defeated Abbeydowne 10-0 with 3 victories each for Ted Cates, Matt White and Alan Forsdyke.  Malvern Tornados defeated Manor Park Crackpots 7-3 thanks again to a maximum from Andy Banks, 2 wins for Ethan Webb and 1 for Dominic Weston.  Stephen Lindner replied with 2 for Crackpots and 1 from Ed Palmer.  Ethan and Dominic also enjoyed a very creditable 5 set victory in the doubles against the experienced Stephen and Ed.  Crackpots D defeated Poolbrook Panthers 9-1 with maximums from Bob Rhodes and James Palmer and 2 victories for Tim Dolding, Panthers victor was Collette James.
